AL BASHA Marketplace ("AL BASHA", "we", "us") operates a classifieds and business advertising platform serving Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Account and profile: your name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, profile photo, preferred language and country, and account settings you choose to share.
Listings: the titles, descriptions, prices, photos, categories and locations of the items, properties, vehicles, jobs and services you post, along with their status and viewing statistics.
Messages: the content of conversations between buyers and sellers on the platform, so both sides can read their history.
Business advertising: your business name, contact name, email, phone number, website link, banner image, selected countries and placements, and the package you purchase.
Payments: when you pay for a listing promotion or a business advertisement, the payment is processed by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We do not store your card number. We keep a record of the transaction — amount, currency, package, date and status — so we can deliver what you paid for and handle receipts and disputes.
Technical information: device and browser type, approximate location (country), and basic usage data needed to keep the service secure and working.
To run the marketplace: display your listings and advertisements, connect buyers and sellers, and deliver the promotions and advertising packages you purchase.
To process payments, prevent fraud, and keep records of transactions.
To moderate content, enforce our rules, and keep the platform safe.
To send you service notifications — for example about your listings, messages, orders and account. Marketing messages are only sent where permitted.
To improve the service, fix problems, and understand how the platform is used.
Your listings and approved business advertisements are public: anyone visiting the site can see the listing or advert content, your display name, and the contact methods you chose to show (such as phone or WhatsApp buttons on a listing).
Your email address is never shown publicly. Business advertisement contact details (contact name, email and phone submitted with the advert) are visible only to you and to our admin team — never to visitors.
Messages are private between the two participants and our moderation team, which may review them only where needed for safety, fraud prevention or dispute handling.
We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your language and country choices, and make the site work properly. These are functional and necessary; we do not use them to sell your data. You can clear them in your browser settings, but some features (such as staying signed in) will stop working.
Payment providers (Stripe and PayPal) to process payments you make.
Service providers that host and operate the platform (cloud hosting, database, file storage and push notification delivery), strictly to run the service.
Authorities, only where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security rules so that private data (such as messages, contact details and payment records) is only accessible to the people and systems that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will act quickly if a problem is found.
We keep your account, listings, messages and transaction records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Expired listings and advertisements may be removed or archived. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
You can view and edit your profile information at any time from your account page.
You can edit or remove your own listings.
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law (such as payment transaction records).

You may ask us to delete your account at any time. When your account is deleted, your profile, listings and messages are removed or anonymised. Records of completed payments are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes, but are not publicly visible.
AL BASHA is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
